Base curve is an  one of the important aspect of a lens , a base curve will vary from person to person. Base curve on contact lens is  the curvature of the back surface of the lens. Base curve used to match the curvature of the lens  to your eye to privide the best fit & comfort .

 The lower the number , The steeper the curve of your cornea , the highest the number , the flatter  the curve of your cornea Typical base curve values range between 8.0 to 10.00,, , though it can be flatter ( from 7.0mm) if you have rigid gas permeable lens . The  Most common sell Base curve on the market of contact lens is 8.6mm & 8.7mm

and acuvue  oasys 2 week clear lens using ither 8.4 mm or 8.8 mm
